Tyler "Tank" Morris spoke to Mrs. Stout's History classes today about the importance of remembering 9/11. He shared stories from a firefighter's point of view, giving students a vivid glimpse into the heroism and sacrifice of that tragic day. These stories highlighted the bravery of his fellow first responders and hopefully help students understand the profound impact this day had on the nation. Tank emphasized the importance of unity, resilience, and honoring the lives lost, ensuring that the memory of 9/11 continues to inspire future generations.

The Roane 70x25 program officially kicked off at Harriman High School yesterday with an exciting student-focused pep rally! This initiative, a collaboration between Roane County Schools, Roane County Government, Roane Alliance, and TN Achieves, aims to boost college attendance to 70% for the class of 2025. The program supports students planning to attend any type of post-secondary education, including 2-year and 4-year colleges, TCAT, or apprenticeship programs. We look forward to helping our students achieve this goal and what the future holds for them.

Congratulations to Ms. Day! The Student Ambassadors chose her as the August Employee of the Month - for her dedication, support, and love of our students! At the beginning of the school year, she worked tirelessly to ensure every Chromebook was distributed and that technology runs properly. She also makes learning enjoyable for all students. Thank you, Ms. Day, for all you do!
